One Heart Bulgaria Gala 2019

For 17 years, One Heart Bulgaria has helped provide for the physical and emotional needs of thousands of children living in the under-funded orphanages of Bulgaria.
But there is more to be done.
This year, we are expanding our reach and working with underprivileged pregnant women in an effort to help them keep their babies instead of abandoning them at orphanages. Bulgaria has the largest number of institutionalized children in Europe and the fasting declining population in the world.
Please join us in our efforts to preserve this country and save her children. We invite you to participate in the 2019 One Heart Bulgaria Black-Tie Gala to raise awareness for these children and the programs they need to sustain lifelong change!

ENTERTAINMENT:
SAM PAYNE
This year, we are pleased to feature the musical and storytelling talent of Sam Payne. Sam hosts "The Apple Seed: Tellers and Stories," a daily national radio show on the art of storytelling for BYU radio. Sam is a long-time teacher, an award-winning school administrator, and a celebrated jazz vocalist. He has written for radio and television, as well as for the classroom. Sam has traveled to Bulgaria with One Heart Bulgaria to perform for the orphan children and help teach them musical skills. One Heart Bulgaria's Mission:
One Heart Bulgaria works diligently to mitigate the needs of suffering children at dozens of orphanages and two children’s hospitals by providing support for basic needs and creating programs that enrich their daily lives, bringing joy into their difficult world. We also provide training for Bulgarian physicians, orphanage caregivers, foster care providers, pediatric physical therapists, and families seeking support. In addition, we create abandonment prevention programs that help decrease the likelihood of parents abandoning their children. Our long-term goal is to close down Bulgaria’s orphanage system.
